St. Clair County will see Road Updates

Throughout St. Clair County residents will see changes to roads. Starting this week construction will take place to put in a roundabout at the intersection of Lapeer and Allen roads. Drivers and motorists can expect to see road closures in mid to late June and the roundabout complete in August. Also, in St. Clair officials have approved the layout of the road diet on M-29. The diet will change the layout of Riverside Avenue by reducing the number of lanes on the highway from two travel lanes in each direction to one travel lane in each direction. The plan is to also add a center left-turn lane. With the change, it will add additional on-street parking and/or potential bicycle lanes. The M-29 construction is planned for 2019.
