During February’s Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is urging Michiganders to learn and recognize the signs of dating violence. Only 33 percent of teenage dating abuse victims disclose the abuse. the executive director of the MDHHS Division of Victim Services Debi Cain states that “All Michiganders can play a part in ending teen dating violence…we can educate ourselves about this critical issue and direct youth to supportive services.
