The skies cleared and it was a beautiful day downtown when over 10 thousand spectators lined the streets of Port Huron last night to watch the Rotary International Day Parade. The parade marched southbound down Huron Avenue from Glenwood and Erie Streets all the way to Oak Street. With the theme, Space, there were several interesting themed floats and costumes for onlookers to view. The Grand Marshal was Mark Muzzin from Selfridge Air National Guard’s Starbase program, along with Junior Marshal Jordan Paeth a Port Huron High student. There were over 100 entries including the Detroit Fire Department Clown Team, the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, The Sarnia Pipe Band, local pageant winners, and both Port Huron high school bands. McLaren Port Huron was the parades presenting sponsor.
