Oh my goodness: It’s a blue sedan with a red blinking light on top of its roof: Yep: That’s when motorist look down at the speed gauge: It’s a Michigan State Police patrol car. But do you know the history behind the very recognizable automobile? And did you know that the first State Police Post in the Blue Water Area had five different sites during its 74-year history? St. Clair Historian Bob Freehan and Michigan State Police troopers are hosting an event at The Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum on Monday, May 20th at 7 pm. During the event, they’ll take a deep dive into the history of the “moveable” St. Clair State Police Post, and the unique history of the Michigan State Police cars. The troopers will bring a current patrol car and display an “historic” Mustang patrol car for everyone to view after the presentations. Reservations for the event are required. Reserve your spot by calling 810‐987‐2854.
