The village of Lexington is celebrating the Kentucky Derby with a weekend filled with activities. It starts on Friday, May 3rd with a horse parade at 7 pm and most stores downtown staying open to 9 pm, and later, country line dancing. On Saturday, May 4th things start at noon with kid’s pony rides. Beginning at 6 pm the derby will be shown on the big screen at Lexington Village Theater, with another horse racing event to follow.
