According to the St. Clair County Homeland Security and Emergency Management office a downriver ice jam in the Algonac area is causing some flooding. East China, Marine City, and Algonac are of those areas that are being affected. If residents need assistance due to flooding they can call their local city or township offices. Residents are advised if driving and you see flooding in the road, turn around and avoid the area. The United States Coast Guard has one ice cutter in the area and two additional cutters will be in the area this morning. Government Officials will continue to monitor the situation.
