As you’re probably not thinking of boating right now the US Coast Guard Cutter the HOLLYHOCK that’s stationed in Port Huron has been. Recently the HOLLYHOCK completed the Operation Fall Retrieve which totaled 103 buoys located in Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Saginaw Bay, St. Clair River, and Lake St. Clair. Families were also welcomed aboard for the final buoys located in the Lake Huron cut. With the completion of the retrieve, the HOLLYHOCK’s operations will be paused until the winter’s ice forms.
