Due to high winds, the Smiths Creek Landfill lost power at approximately 10:00 p.m. last night, February 24. At this time, a power restoration estimate is unavailable. As a result, Landfill Operations are suspended February 25, 2019. Also due to high winds, Animal Control has lost phone and computer services. Dog Licenses can be purchased at the St. Clair County Treasurer’s Office. Animal adoptions and lost pet retrieval are still available at the Animal Control facility, however, credit cards cannot be accepted.
