The Port Huron Police Department’s “Gun Buy Back” event sponsored by the James C. Acheson foundation held on Saturday, April 6th was a great success says the department. Cash was handed out to citizens that had unwanted shotguns, rifles, and handguns. In total, the police department was able to take 62 guns off the streets of Port Huron. The PHPD and the James C. Acheson Foundation are now working towards making the event an annual one.
