The bi-annual National Drug Take Back Day, held on Saturday, October 27th at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and law enforcement offices nationwide was a big success. At the St. Clair County Sherrif’s Office, there were over 240 pounds of pills collected at the Sheriff’s Office and turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for disposal by incineration. This was the 16th time the Sheriff’s Office has participated in the Take Back Day event; which totals over 1900 pounds of pills that have been collected from the community and disposed of properly. If you missed the event and still have pills that you wish to dispose of, you can bring them to the Sheriff’s Office.
