You’ve probably heard of Cirque du Soleil, but there is another circus type performance group that wants you take notice as they head to Fort Gratiot this weekend for 4 days of performances. Cirque Italia is a traveling Water Circus. The performances will take place under a big top tent that will be set up in the parking area of the Birchwood Mall. The performers are from all over the world, and the group will be touring most of the summer around the midwest. The group has dubbed itself an “Aquatic Spectacular” and the traveling custom designed water stage holds 35,000 gallons of water. Tickets are available through the Cirque Italia website or by calling 941-704-8572. They do admit one child free with every full priced adult ticket that is purchased. There are several shows over the 4 days that they will be in town with the first scheduled for 7:30 PM on Thursday.
