Although today will be marked the warmest day of the year so far for 2018. The National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning from noon to 8:00 p.m across Southeast Michigan. A Red Flag Warning is the combination of warm temperatures, gusty winds, and very low humidity that spreads wildfires rapidly. With the warning in place people should use extra caution if burning anything outdoors, and even with cigarette butts if you smoke, don’t toss them on grass or dry brush, or out the window of your car, as the smoldering cigarette can ignite a fire, which would spread easily if the fire gets established.
