Just one month into 2018, and the St. Clair County EDA is saying that things are already looking very positive for the region’s economy. There are 14 potential expansion opportunities that could create up to 200 jobs have been identified and the EDA is working on an active attraction project that is slated to bring an additional 12 jobs. Overall, there are approximately 12 Community Development projects either underway or slated to begin shortly. According to the EDA, “The ongoing economic progress, developments and accomplishments occurring throughout our region are the direct result of many passionate individuals, community & business leaders, partnering organizations and community officials working together to “Make It Happen” which is ironically the EDA team slogan for 2018.
