All aboard the Blue Water Express…Food express that is. Two local families have recently launched the area’s newest food delivery service. The Blue Water Food Express allows local residents to order food from more than 30 partner restaurants including Casey’s Pizza, Jimmy’s Frozen Custard, Tio Gordo’s, Fuel and Kate’s Downtown and have it delivered to their door. The business has already employed more than 10 drivers and seen much success since launching at the beginning of May. The delivery fee is $5 for each restaurant ordered from and can be delivered anywhere from Port Huron to Fort Gratiot and Kimball while the customer sees the status of the order through an an online tracking system. The owners hope to eventually service all of the Blue Water Area as the company expands.
In addition to quick delivery, customers can schedule future delivery dates aiming to make it easier for business to cater or individuals to easily host parties. Gift cards are also available for purchase.
The service can be accessed online at the Blue Water Food Express website, through the app or by phone at (810-479-0909). The company ultimately hopes to “provide great service for the area through good food while employing drivers and supporting local business.”
