Port Huron City Manager, James Freed was notified that he has been chosen as a recipient of the 2018 Michigan Junior Chamber’s Outstanding Young Michigander award. The Michigan Junior Chamber’s Outstanding Young Michigander and Distinguished Service Awards Program was started in 1955 to recognize outstanding community leaders age 21 to 40 years old from around the state of Michigan. The program honors those who exemplify the best attributes of the state’s young people. Freed will receive the award during a ceremony that will take place Saturday, April 14, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
