Due to flood warnings across the state here are some facts about flooding waters. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, when driving and there is flooded roads it’s best to turn around and use an alternative route. When water is at 6 inches and moving fast it can knock over and carry away an adult. At 12 inches of fast moving water it can carry away a small car. When fast moving water reaches 18 to 24 inches it can carry away most SUVs, vans and trucks.
