The St. Clair County Health Department is recognizing April 21st through the 28th as National Infant Immunization Week. The annual observance highlights the importance of protecting infants from vaccine-preventable diseases and celebrates the achievements of immunizations. When fully immunized, infants in the United States are protected against 14 preventable diseases. Some of the diseases immunizations protect against can be dangerous for children under the age of two. Parents/caregivers not certain of their children’s immunization status can contact the Health Department or their health care provider. For more information, visit ivaccinate.org.
