The St. Clair County Sheriff\u2019s Office is teaming up with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration for the bi-annual National Drug Take Back Day. The event will take place Saturday, April 28th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Sheriff\u2019s main office, in Port Huron Township. Sheriff Tim Donnellon said, \u201cThis is a great way to keep these pills from being abused and also keep them out of our drinking water.\u201d This will be the 15th time the Sheriff\u2019s Office has teamed up with the DEA to collect pills. Over the past fourteen events, more than 1,300 pounds of pills have been collected. What you should bring in is your unwanted, unused or expired pills either in their original container or a baggie. When entering the lobby of the Sheriff\u2019s Office, dump the pills from their container into the container provided. Pills are the only medication that will be accepted. No liquids, inhalers, patches or syringes will be taken. Once the pills are collected, they will be turned over to the DEA for disposal.
