{"id":19778,"date":"2019-05-23T16:14:42","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T20:14:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ebw.tv\/?p=19778"},"modified":"2019-07-12T09:06:03","modified_gmt":"2019-07-12T13:06:03","slug":"topnews-waterlevelupdate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thumbcoast.tv\/topnews-waterlevelupdate\/","title":{"rendered":"SCC Emergency Operation Center Updates on Water Levels"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>High water levels seen in Clay Township on May 3, 2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A conference call was held at 9:00 a.m. this morning with local governmental officials, the Emergency Operation Center and the Army Corp of Engineers to receive an update on water levels in Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. Officials are saying,  at this time, it appears water levels have potentially reached peak level for the summer unless additional rainwater or heavy winds arise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this time, no additional major flooding is expected, however, the threat exists in low lying areas. Residents should continue to take steps to protect property from water damage resulting from wind-driven high water or boating wakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boaters are strongly encouraged to reduce wakes as much as possible to prevent property damage. No wake zone maps can be downloaded at: http:\/\/www.bluewaysofstclair.org\/nowakezone.asp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following locations are providing sandbags to their residents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\uf0b7 Clay Township Water Department on Muskrat Run between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\uf0b7 Ira Township Office 7085 Meldrum Rd.
