Since 2008, A Beautiful Me has continued to provide outcome-based self-esteem workshops for girls in 5th grade throughout Michigan. This summer select teens from St. Clair and Macomb Counties gathered each Monday in Port Huron during a pilot program called A Beautiful Me\u2019s Teen Advisory Internship. Through four pillars to success, the young ladies have inspired to continue with the new program of business and entrepreneurship, recruit others, volunteer at for-profit women-owned businesses and prepare to lead future A Beautiful Me programming. And over the past 15 months, 89 corporate and individual donors have helped create the A Beautiful Me CLOSET vision a reality through financial contributions. A Beautiful Me Executive Director, Karen Palka states, \u201cShe’s overwhelmed with the generosity of those who value young ladies by investing in them.
