They are certainly something to behold. As our area was first being settled, residents in our area would see huge ships also, but these ships were a little different than the ships that pass today, but still have the same function of transporting goods and raw materials around the Great Lakes Region. We know them simply as \u201cTall Ships\u201d and they sailed through our area recently enroute to the Tall Ship Celebration being held in Bay City from July 18th through the 21st. If you want to see the ships closer to home, they\u2019ll be heading back this way in just a few weeks. August 9-11, the Tall Ships celebration will continue across the international border in Sarnia."}
