AAA Michigan estimates more than 1.6 million people from Michigan are expected to travel 50 miles or more from home during the days surrounding the Fourth of July holiday, a 5.5 percent increase from the 2017 holiday. Beginning at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, and continuing until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 86 out of 131 projects statewide will have lane restrictions removed.
