RESA has introduced a new teaching tool. “Dash” is a wheeled robot that can move in any direction gravity allows. RESA used state grant money to buy the devices and plans to loan them to elementary teachers countywide. First, though, educators must be trained in using Dash and the curriculum that accompanies it. Using Dash encourages problem-solving, collaboration and critical thinking. Users program Dash’s actions using a bluetooth-equipped tablet or other device.
