St. Clair County Homeland Security will host a Citizen Academy. Starting on April 10th their will be three different academies to choose to join a Law enforcement, fire/ems and an emergency management academy. These Academies will give participants 1st hand knowledge of the group they have chosen, taught by responders from the field.
At the end of the training participants can apply to be on a volunteer Community Ready Team, where they may be deployed to different areas in the County to support responders in the field. For more information on the Citizens academies you can visit bereadystclaircounty.org
