In the Francis J. Robinson Memorial Tennis Tournament, Open doubles final, Steve Pillon and his partner Matt Wise narrowly slipped past Mark Walker and Dave Atallah splitting sets 6-4, 2-6, with a nail biter tie breaker 11-9. In the women’s open doubles Tiffany Odlum and Annie Moore outlasted Isabella Murray and Allison McConnell 6-4, 7-5. Steve Pillon was the winner of the Open singles and in the Women’s open singles it was Allison McConnell over Casey Smith.
The Blue Water Junior Golf Tour finished their season yesterday at the Port Huron Elks club with the Tournament of Champions. In the Boys over 16 division Ryan McNeill beat out Logan Palmateer by one shot finishing with an 8 over par score of 80. In the girls 14 and over grouping, Allison Gottshall bested Sydney Anger with a score of 98.
