Over 180 teams competed Friday through Sunday in the annual Blue Water Volleygrass tournament across more than 10 divisions. The wind made for an interesting twist Saturday but other than that, it was perfect weather for great play. The tournament is the largest in Michigan and is hosted at Port Huron Northern.
Volleygrass was a lot of fun this weekend and some local little league teams also had a lot of fun competing and winning this weekend! The St. Clair 10u little league girls team won all 3 of their games in Marysville this weekend. The team beat Milan 20-1, Cheboygan 15-0, and Taylor 12-2. They will play Bulluck Creek today in the Quarter Finals. Meanwhile, the Saint Clair 11u boys team won their first 2 games beating Commerce township 4-2 in extra innings and then Traverse city 13-1 on Sunday. That team plays today at 3 against Plymouth canton for the last game of pool play. The team has already advance to the quarter finals.
