Dove Road between Range and Michigan Roads in Port Huron Township will be closed to traffic starting on June 20th. The planned work will cause Dove Road to be closed for approximately 14 consecutive days starting on June 20. Construction will include rubblizing the existing concrete, overlaying with asphalt, partially paving the shoulder, ditch cleanout, and restoration. Work will take place through the weekends to accommodate a timely completion. During the closure of Dove Road, access will be allowed from Michigan Road only. Traffic will be allowed to leave Dove Road to Range Road only. Through traffic will not be allowed on Dove Road but local traffic for residents and business will be allowed westbound only. A detour will be posted during the closure of Dove Road. The detour will be Range Road, Griswold Road and Michigan Road. Local residents are encouraged to plan for delays due to construction. Funds for the project are coming from the St. Clair County Road Commission and the State of Michigan at a total estimated cost for construction of $604,000.
