The cost for a gallon of gas is a lot like the weather here in Michigan. Hang around for a while and it’s bound to change. For local motorist, that change is not good. AAA of Michigan says that average gas prices statewide, are up about 9 cents from a week ago to about $2.88 per gallon. Nationally, fuel prices average $2.83 and locally, here in St. Clair County, you’re shelling out an average $2.86 per gallon. Ouch!!!Looks like that planned road trip may be getting just a little bit shorter.
