Gas prices have offically hit their highest cost for 2019. The average for unleaded gasoline throughout the country is $2.54 and in the state of Michigan the average is $2.58 per gallon. Although these gas prices may seem expensive, it’s still nowhere close to the highest average in Michigan that was recorded in May 2011 at $4.25 per gallon of unleaded gasoline.
