Gas prices are on the rise in Michigan and right now they are at the highest of 2019. Currently, the national average for a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $2.36. Throughout Michigan, the state average is $2.47 and locally in the thumb region, you can see gas prices as high as $2.49 which is nearly 30 cents more than last month. Even though prices have increased Michigan drivers still are paying close to 10 cents less than this time last year.
