Twenty-six student chefs from the Culinary Institute of Michigan in Port Huron and Muskegon, Michigan, earned a variety of honors at a November 10th, 2018 American Culinary Federation sanctioned competition held at the CIM Muskegon campus. The students who are enrolled in the CIM’s Baking and Pastry, Culinary Arts, and/or Food and Beverage Management programs – competed across a variety of categories, including cooking, patisserie/confectionary, showpieces, ice carving, contemporary hot food and more. Collectively, the 17 students from CIM Port Huron and the nine from CIM Muskegon earned a total of 34 bronze, silver and gold medals, in addition to three best-in-show finishes.
