This weekend there was a big celebration to be had in Marine City. The Marine City football team won their first regional championship since 2013 when they won the state championship. On Friday, they had a close game with Detroit Denby, winning 40 to 32, in double overtime at East China Stadium. The Mariners will now head to the Division 5 state semifinals.
