Yesterday, the City of Port Huron City Manager James Freed issued an Administrative Directive to expand the City’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-Harassment Policies to include protections of discrimination and harassment on the basis of sexual preference, orientation and/or identity. The directive will be effective immediately. James Freed stated, “This directive will ensure that the City of Port Huron is not only a safe place to work, but a welcoming and inclusive environment for all those who seek opportunity,”
