The East China School District will celebrate the opening of its new tennis court complex on Wednesday, July 11th at 5:30 pm at St. Clair High School. The new complex includes eight brand new courts and fencing. The new complex was funded entirely by private donations, with over 63 businesses, organizations, and individual donors contributing in addition to endowed funds from the Community Foundation of St. Clair County. The previous seven tennis courts were deteriorated, unsafe, and unusable. Both St. Clair High School’s boys’ and girls’ tennis teams were unable to host any home matches over the past few years due to the poor condition of the courts. The New courts have been named “Our Community Courts at St. Clair High School.”
