This morning the City of Port Huron held a Change of Command ceremony at the Central Fire Station for the Port Huron Fire Department. The community, retired fire personnel, staff and city officials were in attendance as they honored Cheif Daniel Maingu,y and all of his accomplishments. After 29 years of holding various positions throughout law enforcement in Port Huron, Cheif Mainguy has officially retired. The Cheif and the city of Port Huron welcomed and sworn in the new Fire Cheif Corey Nicholson. Cheif Nicholson plans on making the transition smooth and will strive to continue the legacy and standards for the 117-year department.
