In the last four years, the City of Port Huron has invested more than $1.4 million into surrounding neighborhoods throughout Port Huron. Some of the projects included home rehabilitation projects, down payment assistance and first-time homebuyer programs. James Freed, Port Huron’s City Manager stated, “By helping families achieve homeownership we are expanding economic opportunity and financial security. By investing in homes, we are protecting and stabilizing neighborhoods”.
