The 15th annual Empty Bowls benefit for Mid-City Nutrition soup kitchen, will be held on March 22nd. The event will start at 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and be held at St. Stephen’s Church at 325 32nd St, in Port Huron. Tickets can be purchased Mid-City Nutrition for $25 or $30 at the door. Attendees will receive a handmade bowl created by a local potter, a bowl of soup and bread, made by Mid-City and local partnering restaurants, and a freshly baked cookie. There will also be a silent auction and a Children’s Auction Table. Last year, the Empty Bowl fundraiser raised over $40,000 which helped Mid-City Nutrition provide more than 65,000 meals to the homeless and hungry in the community.
